Christmas at Altes Zechhaus

Altes Zechhaus, in the midst of romantic Gumpoldskirchen, is a setting with lots of atmosphere for your company or private Christmas celebration. We welcome you with hot punch at Kirchenplatz or in the inner courtyard of our historic winery house. Following this, we pamper you with culinary delights and first-class wine from KRUG. Select a Christmas menu according to your taste, and enjoy a carefree evening.

Christmas buffet for 30 or more persons

Antipasti:
Salt herring on cucumber slices, Parma ham with melon, roast beef, ham with horseradish, beef Tatar, stuffed eggs on French salad, mozzarella with tomatoes and basil, offered with oven-fresh rolls

Main dishes:
Grilled duck with serviette bread dumplings, warm bacon-cabbage salad or red cabbage, creamy veal goulash with gnocchi, braised lamb hock with vegetables and potatoes, ground veal patties in gravy with parsley potatoes or mashed potatoes, silver-dollar breaded pork loin cutlets, fried chicken, deep-fried vegetables, potato salad, cabbage salad, cucumber salad, Greek farmer’s salad and various leaf salads

Dessert:
Cream cheese strudel and apple strudel with vanilla sauce, or cream cheese-nougat dumplings

Price per person incl. aperitif: € 44

Christmas menu for up to 20 persons

Antipasti:
Marinated Alpine salmon with horseradish cream or beef carpaccio with rocket salad and Grana Padano or Austrian roast beef marinated in olive oil or beef aspic with onion and pumpkinseed oil or Vulcano ham with horseradish and pickled vegetables

Soup:
Truffled potato-leek soup or old-Viennese-style potato soup with porcini mushrooms or hearty beef consommé with semolina dumplings or pancake strips

Main dish:
Boiled shoulder blade with vegetables and hash brown potatoes or pork medallions roasted with rosemary potatoes and salad or fried pike perch with parsley potatoes or grilled duck with serviette bread dumplings and red cabbage or venison goulash with serviette bread dumplings or venison roast with serviette bread dumplings and cranberries

Dessert:
Gingerbread mousse with sour cherries or cream cheese dumplings with stewed sour cherries
